Please ensure that you read the following information as by purchasing items on this site you will be deemed to have accepted these terms & conditions of sale, our privacy policy and disclaimer.

When you place an order on our website to purchase goods from us that constitutes an "Offer to Buy" from you. You will receive an "Order Confirmation" email from us and subsequently a “Your Order has Shipped” email confirming that we have dispatched the goods – based on availability - you have ordered from us.

No contract to supply goods is intended or implied unless and until we accept your order and until the time when we actually despatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods or services to you without giving any reason, in which case you will receive a refund. At the moment we accept your order or in the case of delivery of goods, when the goods are despatched, a contract will be made between you and us and you will receive email notification of the goods despatched.

Making A Purchase

Ordering from our online shop is simple - just browse our products and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on " Checkout " and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. Once your order is processed and the transaction is authorised, the payment is debited from your credit card and the order will be shipped typically within 48 hours, or for bespoke items as per the information provided.

For Credit Card or Debit Card payments we use Stripe (www.stripe.com), one of the largest and most secure ecommerce payment gateways, processing millions of transactions around the world every day. We also offer PayPay which you can use with or without a PayPal account as PayPal also gives you the option to pay directly with your Credit Card. Both payment options accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Conversion rates to local currencies are available from local banks and will appear in your currency on your next credit card statement.

We never see your credit card details, only your delivery address and contact details.


Prices are quoted in British Pounds with no additional VAT added, if applicable. You may choose to use the currency converter at the top of the page however we have no imput into the current rate of exchange. ariver of design reserves the right to change its prices at any time. Irrespective of any price changes you will be charged the price which was quoted for the item when you ordered. Pricing for bespoke items, unless specified, will be communicated and agreed via email.

Shipping And Handling

We charge on a weight and zone basis. If all items in your order are in stock, you should receive your purchases within 5 business days in the UK. International orders are generally received in under 14 days in items are in stock. If there is a delay in posting your products we will contact you, or if your goods do not arrive, please contact us at [email protected] quoting the receipt number that you will have received on the completion of your purchase. GB & Ireland: Delivery to the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight, the Scottish Isles and Highlands, and parts of Northern Ireland may incur an extra charge

Most deliveries are courier deliveries and therefore a daytime phone number is required along with an adult signature.

Unfortunately, for logistical and security reasons, we cannot ship to PO Box addresses.

Please retain all receipts and shipping notices.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you and will email you with details. We will forward your outstanding order as soon as it becomes available. If stock resupply is an issue for a particular product, we retain the right to cancel that portion of your order and provide a full refund.

Artisan & Designer Products

Most of our products are either individually hand-made or hand-finished from small batch production. Variations and minor inconsistencies are to be considered an integral part of the materials and/or production process. All dimensions and weights listed are approximate and may vary slightly due to the nature of the materials.

Bespoke Products

All products and fresco paintings which you order on a bespoke basis will be communicated and agreed via email. All personalised, custom and made to order items are non returnable unless damaged in transit or deemed unfit for use. This does not affect your statutory rights

Fresco Paintings

You may order fresco paintings from our portfolio or by providing your own images. Design availability is subject to copyright. Any fresco painting that is a reproduction by design is to be considered modern fresco painting which however will retain its master quality originality as no two are exactly alike.

Available Stock

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you and will email you with details. Due to the nature of the many hand-made products we offer, we may, at our sole discretion, refund your money if we cannot make supply within a reasonable period of time, or due to design-producer limitations on production volumes. If your product is expected back in stock, we will forward your outstanding order as soon as it becomes available.

Sales & Promotions

All terms & conditions apply equally to all relevant products and prices during sales promotions including the production of discount codes. Sale and promotions do not necessarily advertise end or expiration dates which are at the sole discretion of the retailer. If a discount code is not functioning, it should be assumed that the promotion has ended. However, please contact us if you have any questions. Promotions and discounts do not apply to B2B or wholesale volume sales unless otherwise stated and offered.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you are unhappy with any of your purchases please contact us within 7 days. We will give you a full refund provided that the products and their packaging you wish to return are unused, complete and in re-saleable condition. Goods which are returned for a refund must be returned with the invoice. You be be responsible for the cost of providing secure return shipping. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Where any valid claim in respect of any goods sold by the ariver of design which is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the goods or their failure to meet specification is notified to ariver of design, ariver of design shall be entitled to replace the goods (or the part in question) free of charge or, at the sole discretion of ariver of design, refund the price of the goods (or a proportionate part of the price), but ariver of design shall have no further liability to the purchaser.

While the quality of these artisanal products is of the utmost importance to our suppliers, minor defects in the finishes of any hand-made goods are not to be considered as product defects but an integral part of the hand-made production and finishing.

Returns Policy

If any item is damaged on delivery please email us first with details within 5 days and provide photographic evidence to allow us to process a return for refund or replacement, at our discretion, or based on available stock. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) and shipping address.

Items for return must have their original packaging and labels fully intact or a restocking / repacking charge may apply.

Exclusion of Warranty

Subject to the paragraph below, ariver of design makes no warranty or representation as to the quality of any goods sold or their fitness for a particular purpose or their conformity with any description or sample and ariver of design shall not be responsible for damage or loss of any kind whatsoever (including loss of profits and consequential damages) caused directly or indirectly by the goods supplied.

Privacy Policy

ariver of design does not disclose buyers' information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
